A pole barn shop with a twist!

I’d say we have waited long enough to share the end product of a previous blog post showing off the precision of our posts being set! Partially a little over due because of being so busy. BUT, that just means we have lots to share! This pole barn provided some interesting obstacles. The area of land that this shop sits on was about the only area large enough to house a shop without having to take out trees and it’s location is right beside a VERY large slope downhill into the lower part of the customer’s property-making space extremelt limited when bringing in materials. However, the main obstacle we faced was find out the length of the metal sent to us by our supplier was too short! Let me tell you, that’s not a problem anyone wants to run into. So, we had to come up with a plan and it ended up looking amazing! After a little brainstorming and determining how short we were on length, Gerry suggested staining Cedar boards and running them all the way around the building where the metals changed color. The customer loved the idea and trusted Gerry’s judgement and gave us the thumbs up. In the end, everyone involved ended up thankful for the mishap, because the Cedar boards set his shop apart from others-just with a simple accent!

So, we are now offering these accents boards as an option for customers looking to build! For it being as inexpensive as it is, it sure does dress it up.

The moral of the story, things happen for a reason. It’s not about how the mistakes happen, it’s about how you learn from them and how quickly you can come up with a solution.
